椿
『七種伝』の一つ、椿一輪いけです。葉3枚半と花1輪だけでいける極小の生花です。削って削ってギリギリまで削り落として、これ以上は削れないというところまで削った姿があります。省略の美の極致です。こういうものを残してくれた先人に感謝ですね。
This is an special way to use camellia, one of the “Shichisyuden”. It is a very minimal Shoka made with only three and a half leaves and a single flower. It is a figure that has been shaved and shaved down to the point where it cannot be shaved any more. It is the ultimate in the beauty of simplicity. I am grateful to our seniors who left us this kind of work.
